Inspired by the exhibition at the Tate Modern – ‘Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror Rooms,’ the Rosewood London has launched an exclusive themed lunch and afternoon tea menu. Featuring a selection of dishes inspired by the Japanese contemporary artist famous and her impressive installations, the experience is designed to awe visitors in unique culinary ways.
As part of the high-tea, connoisseurs will get to sample cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches with shichimi, smoked salmon with wasabi cream, chicken teriyaki with spring onion; egg mayonnaise, katsuobushi, and chives; crispy rice cracker, yuzu avocado, and keta caviar.
Those with a sweet tooth will further get to savor the tonka caramel- a chocolate cup filled with tonka cream, salted caramel, and a caramel chocolate crumb, a peach and jasmine macaroon filled with peach jelly and jasmine tea ganache, and vanilla cheesecake with actual cherry blossom gel filling, inspired by Japan’s cherry blossoms.
Also not to miss are the Kusama-inspired cakes – Flowers That Bloom at Midnight’ made with a tropical coconut mousse, strawberry yuzu jelly, matcha green tea sponge, and strawberry crisps; ‘All My love for Tulips’ with a citrusy yuzu mousse, raspberry yuzu jelly, almond pan de gene, green tea sable, raspberry cremeux, and chocolate petals; and the ‘Dots Obsession – Soul of Pumpkin’, made with a passion fruit cremeux, chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate cake, praline feuilletine, passionfruit ganache, and chocolate decorations.
The Afternoon Tea runs at the Rosewood London on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from noon until 6 pm onward $92 per person.
